Our service

Ocean Web Design designs, builds and hosts websites for New Zealand businesses. Projects are delivered under a fixed-price proposal agreed before work begins, typically launching within 3–4 weeks.

Pricing & billing

Our price is a one-off NZ$499 for your website and 5 years of hosting, counted from the day your site launches. There is no monthly fee. Payment details are given to you once your project is confirmed, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. Anything outside the included scope, such as extra pages, online stores, booking systems, logos, photography, copywriting, or changes after launch, is quoted separately before any work starts. All prices are in New Zealand dollars.

Refunds

Your payment is fully refundable any time before project kick-off. Once work has begun, it is non-refundable.

Hosting term

Hosting is included for 5 years from launch. There is no subscription to cancel. Before your hosting term ends we'll contact you about your options: keeping your site with us, or receiving your site files to host elsewhere.

Ownership

Your website and content belong to you. At any time you can ask for your site files, and we'll provide them within 30 days at no extra cost and help you transfer your domain.

Earlier monthly plan

If you signed up on our earlier plan (NZ$40 setup, then NZ$10 per month), the terms of that plan continue to apply to you.

Our commitment

We respond to enquiries and update requests within 1–2 working days, Monday to Friday NZT.

General

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. We may update them from time to time; the latest version always applies and will be posted on this page.
